Land Relationship

A year of learning how to be in relationship with the land you call home.

WHAT IS IT?

Land is more than the space surrounding a house.

It has history. Patterns. Seasons. Ecology. Relationship.

Land Relationship grew from my own years of working with the land at Woodland Farms.

I have spent years tending, observing, walking, sitting with, and learning from this piece of land—allowing its needs and patterns to shape the way we farm and live here.

Through farming, rotating animals, creating habitat, making land offerings, and continually asking what it means to live here in a way that creates reciprocity rather than simply taking from the land, I have slowly transformed Woodland Farms into the relationship it is today.

I bring that lived experience into this work.

This is not a landscaping consultation or a blueprint for what your property should become.

It is an invitation to slow down enough to develop a relationship with the land you call home—and then allow that relationship to inform the practical choices you make there.

We begin by understanding your vision for the property and what you hope to create.

From there, I spend the year tracking the land through the changing seasons—walking it, sitting with it, observing what is established, noticing what is emerging, and following the threads that begin to reveal themselves.

Alongside this intuitive work, I research the documented history of the property and offer practical guidance around sustainable and regenerative land practices.

The two are woven together.

When appropriate, ceremonial work may also become part of the relationship with the land.

This is not predetermined. It emerges from what the land and the relationship call for throughout the year.
