Leaning Into Trust and Faith

Lately, I’ve been learning what it really means to lean into trust and faith.

I can see the spiral happening again—the vision of where I want to go, and the ache that I’m not getting there fast enough. The thoughts start running through my head:
I don’t know enough. I’m not good enough. Who am I to think I’m smart enough?

I recognize this dance now. It’s me versus my ego.

So, I stop. I breathe. I fall into the rhythm of my breath.

And in that stillness, I’m reminded by Spirit that time is an illusion. The human mind is such a complicated, yet powerful mechanism. When I finally relax and sit with what’s there, what rises first is anger—anger that “things” aren’t happening on my timeline.

Then I hear it. A gentle laughter. A whisper:

“Slow down, child. This is not a race. It’s about the journey, not the destination.”

Because the journey is where we are molded, healed, and transformed into a higher sense of Self. If it all happened overnight, I wouldn’t be ready for what’s to come.

So I ask myself—what if my vision is larger than my mind’s eye can see?
What if Spirit’s plans for me are grander than anything I could imagine?

That’s when I feel the truth of it: patience is part of faith.

I’ll admit, some days I wish the path was laid out clearly in front of me, with directions and outcomes labeled step by step. But then I think about how we live—about homeschooling, for example. I could easily send the kids off to school, have a predictable schedule, and know what each year would hold. But that path doesn’t resonate with me.

So why would my life path be any different?

It’s not meant to be. It’s meant to be discovered one step at a time.

And so, my invitation to you is this:
If you could see into the future and know exactly how everything would unfold, would you really want to? Or is part of the magic of being human found in living the mystery—trusting the unfolding, even when it’s messy and unclear?

Because maybe, just maybe, the beauty lies not in knowing, but in walking the path—breath by breath, step by step—with faith that it’s all leading somewhere sacred.

If you’re finding yourself in a season of uncertainty or longing for deeper trust, I’d love to hold space for you. Together, we can listen to what your body and spirit are asking for next.
You can book a private consultation with me here.

In Peace, Love and Service,

Rebecca
